Each year NMSNA strives to recognize individual school nurses who have displayed the highest standards of care, professionalism, and dedication to New Mexico’s students. We annually seek nominations for School Nurse Administrator and School Nurse of the Year, as well as the Marlene McDowell Distinguished RN Service Award. Alongside these distinguished awards, we seek nominations for the Horizon Award. This recognizes the novice school nurse who demonstrates exceptional school nursing practice and leadership.
In addition to the awards spotlighting our New Mexico school nurses, we seek nominations of individuals, regardless of nursing licensure, working diligently for the health of our students. These nominations are accepted for the Recognition Award (school nurse or other individual who completes a special project that significantly impacts the school nursing practice) and the Community Service Award (individual or organization that promotes the health of school children in New Mexico).
We would like to ask you to nominate a deserving nurse for one or more of the aforementioned school nursing awards, or a striving individual for the Recognition or Community Service Award. This is your chance to help shine the spotlight on the outstanding school nurses and healthcare workers from around the state.
Below is a link to each nomination form for you to complete as you see fit. These nominations must be completed and submitted by February 7, 2025. This is your chance to help shine the spotlight on the outstanding school nurses from around the state and we look forward to hearing from you.
